Outdoor Cat Houses for Outdoor Cats. PLEASE READ
There's no doubt that the best place for your cat to live is in your home with you but there are many circumstances that make this impossible. If your cat  lives outside it should have the very best shelter.  You will not find a better made or more comfortable home for your cat than these houses that are individually made with love. And when the temp drops outside you will have nothing to worry about. (Read testimonials at bottom of page)
 
1. All houses have a rot resistant base and insulated floor. All cracks and crevices in this cat house are sealed with 35 year silicone.
 
2. The standard  door is  made of treated lumber with a vinyl flap.
 
3.  Option to upgrade to a commercial door.  (a commercial door is made of heavy plastic and has a swinging door (smoked plex-glass)that keeps the weather out better than the standard door flap.
 
4. The front opens for easy access and cleaning.  
 
5.  All siding and trim is sealed with Thompson's WaterProofer.
 
6.  Interior surfaces are covered with a stain resistant carpeting, except the summer house (which is lined with cedar). 
 
7. Option to have inside lined with cedar instead of carpet: Three interior walls will be lined with Cedar.  The floor, ceiling and door will still be covered with carpet.
 
8. Regular Houses are 18" x 18" x 24" outside and 13" x 14" x 13" on the inside. 
 
9. The Make It Large House  measures 21"x21"x25"h on the outside and 16"x16"x12" on the inside.
 
10.  Heated Houses are heated with a 40 watt light bulb that is recessed into the ceiling of the house. There is a  thermometer on the back wall to monitor temperture .  Option to update to a 50 watt  infra-red light. These are very safe for your cats.  The  thermostat turns the bulb off and on, as needed to maintain a constant and safe temperature within the house. You also have the ability to adjust the temp up or down.
 
11.  If you anticipate getting another heated house in the future or would like to plug in a heated water bowl or both.  You have the option to order a weather proof outlet which will be  installed on the back of the house and has 2 outlets with a plastic hinged cover to protect from the elements. The cords are much more organized this way.
 
12. I'm sorry but we cannot  make houses any larger because they would be too large for UPS Ground which is the only way this builder ships.  He said  they also take too much time that is needed to keep up with regular orders.

The Deluxe Heated Outdoor Cat House (shown here in pink and white optional colors available).  All cracks and crevices in this cat house are sealed with 35 year silicone. Since these houses are so well insulated all it takes is a 40 watt light bulb connected to a thermostat to heat them up. This is a very safe method of heat. Bulb screws into a recessed light fixture in the ceiling so it is out of Kitty's way.  The thermometer is mounted on the back wall and monitors the temperature you set it at. This house doesn't have a window to let out any heat. It Comes with a 25 ft cord. It's ready for your kitty as soon as you receive it. This is a commercial door made of plastic and has a swinging door (smoked plex-glass)that keeps the weather out better.

Option to replace the standard door with a Magnetic Door. 
If you have wild animals or stray cats that you want to keep out of your kitty's house this door is a must. The lock is activated by a MAGNETIC key attached to your pet's collar.  PLEASE NOTE ONE PROBLEM WITH THESE DOORS ARE , THE CAT CAN LOSE IT'S COLLAR WITH THE KEY ATTACHED .  Additional keys are available for $6.99 plus shipping.

This house does not have a window in order to keep it warmer but you do have the option to add one.

The Cedar Summer House will keep cat warm in very mild winters but is especially designed to be cool in the summer. House is well insulated but it has no carpeting on the inside so it is easy to keep clean. The floor is covered with vinyl and the walls and door are Cedar which is a natural flea and insect repellant. There is a round screened vent opening in the ceiling with a wood cover that slides back and forth to open and close the vent. This allows the warm air to rise and escape while the cooler air lingers at the floor where kitty is. The vent can be closed in the winter to keep the warm air in. Kitty's Summer House. Is designed to be cool in the summer yet will keep your pet  warm in mild winters. The floor is covered with vinyl. Walls are lined with Cedar. Ceiling and roof  have vents to allow the warm air to rise and escape while the cooler air lingers at the floor area. Vent can be closed in the winter to keep the warm air in. The front opens for easy access and cleaning. No window but you can add one.  You have a choice of colors.
The Basic Outdoor Cat House is only recommended for areas with mild winters bercause it isn't insulated.

Because our kitty (a stray that adopted us last June) had a bad experience in a cardboard box she used our porch last summer, it took a little coaxing to get her to use her new house. We started feeding every meal in it, but had to leave the front open in order for her to trust it. But now, over a month later, she will go into the house thru the electronic door with a LITTLE help, and has no problem going out. The last couple nights have been below 40 degrees, and she GLADLY enters (still with a little help) and will lounge in her beautiful, heated, insulated, carpeted home for hours!!!! She and I are both sleeping better. J

UPS delivered the most excellant cat house  The insulated, heated, and electronic safety pet door are wonderful features., We plan to adopt or foster a few extra "unadoptable" cats, so your house will be appreciated by all, esp my husband who is VIOLENTLY allergic and cannot tolerate indoor cats.
